Mantrailing is a fastest growing, non-competitive dog sport, it is based on search and rescue operations where a dog follows a scent trail to find a person.

The sport is adapted from SAR designed for pet dogs, this is a true team work sport that builds the bond between handler and pet dog. Your dog is in charge, as we rely on your dog's exceptional sense of smell.

It is a low impact sport, it suits all dog breeds, no matter of size, age and most importantly, their obedience level.

Yes, that's right, this is not about obedience, your dog will be in charge on where to go while secured to a long line!

Mantrailing is an excellent bonding exercise for dog owners, also ideal for rescue dogs, who might be dealing with reactivity and loss of confidence.

This sport will help your rescue pup to regain their confidence, as they will solely be using one thing that they are exceptionally good at, and that is their nose.

While we work together as a team, we work one dog at a time, so it is ideal if you have a reactive dog. This activity will allow you to build confidence of your dog, and you as a dog owner will strengthen your bond with your companion.

Things you need to start your Mantrailing journey:

  • Car: We work one dog at a time, dogs are kept in the car while resting between trails, ensure you set up a cozy space for them

  • Suitable clothing and footwear: We will train in rain or sunshine, either forest or urban trail

  • Harness (Y shaped or hiking harness) and Long Line

  • Flat collar and short lead

  • High value treats and water for your dog (and you)
